1. Drunk Girls Don’t Cry by Maren Morris

Just the title of this song alone sparks interest. Maren Morris, who has taken the country music world by storm at only 26 years old, continues to be a breath of fresh air on country radio. Her debut full-length ablum, HERO, is filled with a variety of hits such as “My Church,” “80s Mercedes,” “Once” and many more. The singer just announced “I Could Use A Love Song” as her next single, but I think “Drunk Girls Don’t Cry” was seriously overlooked. This catchy, girl-power song is everything you’ve wanted to say to your best friend about her deadbeat boyfriend, but couldn’t. You might find Maren playing this tune on her tour, but it’s not an official single yet. Fingers crossed, I’m still holding out hope that it could be. Best lyrics: “If it was the first time, I would understand. But, it's the third time, you got a second chance. There's a fine line between an accident, and a L-O-S-E-R”

2. Beer in the Headlights by Luke Bryan

When Luke Bryan dropped his Crash My Party album in 2013, I was certain “Beer In The Headlights” was going to be a single. Not kidding, I would’ve put serious money on it. But, when single after single hit country radio, the “Beer In The Headlights” single dream moved further and further away. Arguably, one of the most “country” songs on his album, this song was truly underestimated. It’s the perfect song for country music lovers everywhere and isn’t too slow or too fast. This song was just right… but not right enough for country radio, apparently.

Best lyrics: I got the key turned back, windows down, I'm turning it up and your spinnin' around. Takin' a sip, swingin' your hips, girl you’re looking so fine, with your beer in the headlights.

3. Holding On To You by Miranda Lambert

The voice of Miranda Lambert is often underestimated. Haters everywhere, prepare to be amazed. This ballad, whom we can only imagine was about ex-hubby, Blake Shelton at the time, is the perfect love song for couple's who spend some time apart every once in a while.

This love song, from Miranda’s hit album Platinum, not only showcased Miranda’s killer voice, but also showed a softer side as well. In my opinion, 10x better than “Automatic.” You may disagree, but trust me – this song is worth a listen.

Best lyrics: I've seen the Rolling Stones, got real high on rock and roll, seen a lot of dreams come true. But, ain't no moment like when I'm holding on to you.

4. Gettin’ In The Way by Keith Urban

I’ve always loved Keith Urban, and didn’t think it was possible to love him more until he gave me the gift of Ripcord. Although the album isn’t traditional country (i.e. Sun Don’t Let Me Down, featuring Pitbull) every single song is one to sing along to.

This album brought hits such as “John Cougar, Jogn Deere, John 3:16,” “Wasted Time,” and my personal favorite, “Blue Ain’t Your Color” – but I’m hoping it also brings “Getting’ In The Way” to our lives. When seeing Urban play this song live, it was the perfect sing-along, grab someone you love and listen live, type of jam. Let’s hope this will be the last gift Ripcord gives us.

Best lyrics: “Never made it ‘cause we kept making out in the driveway, who would’ve thought in the driveway. That we would get lost in that dashboard radio static, makin’ our own kind of magic”

5. Mexico by Carrie Underwood

Holy Carrie Underwood – she’s done it again. “Mexico” is the perfect song for her Storyteller album because my, oh my, what a story it tells. When listening to this song, you can picture Underwood’s music video magic, because if this song were to be released as a single, she would kill it. I’m talking Music Video of the Year at some kind of awards show status.

You’re almost surprised the sweet Carrie Underwood sings this badass cops-and-robbers runaway tune. And of course, she nails it. Hitting every note and escaping the cops, in true Carrie Underwood fashion

Best lyrics: “Look for the golden sombrero, Puerto Nuevo West. Blonde had a little too much fun, I'll be brunette. Adiós til then – Blue lights on the horizon, dust clouds filling the sky. If they get the cuffs on us, it's 25 to life”
